| Within the Amber Centre
all staff undertake a comprehensive six week Induction
Programme which includes:
- Our Mission Statement
- Aims and Objectives
- Policies and Procedures
- Health and Safety including Risk Assessments
This TOPPS and NVQ 2 accredited therefore
staff can follow a natural training programme onto their
NVQ level 2 if not already achieved.
All Support Staff need to have or to
be working towards level 2 NVQ, our Senior Support Staff
are all level 3 qualified and the Management to level
4 and the Registered Managers Award.
All mandatory training such as:
- Fire
- Food Hygiene
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Health and Safety
Are all completed within the centre
by the company training team, and are certificated on
completion.
Within the organization since the launch
of “Valuing People” the Amber Centre recognizes the
need for LDAF (Learning Disability Awards Framework)
training.

Our staff team are continuously training
and developing to ensure all changes to legislation,
policies and procedures etc are communicated and delivered
within the service for example:
- Prevention of Falls
- Protection of Vulnerable Adults
- Abuse Awareness
- Promoting equality of care
- Managing aggression and abusive behavior.
Promoting communication with clients
with communication difficulties.
